This Sunday morning, as never before, Albania was attacked virtually, a massive cyber attack that resulted in the temporary shutdown of online services.
As you can see on the Internet, the websites of the Prime Minister’s Office, the ministries, and e-Albania are not open.
The National Agency of the Information Society informed the Albanians that it is obliged to block access to public services in order to cope with successive and sophisticated attacks from outside Albania.
Still unidentified attacks which the prime minister in the press release considers enemies, but according to technology experts, the risk is extremely high, but even though it is happening to Albania for the first time, there have been similar cases in the world.
The information agency is cooperating with the Microsoft team and other teams of foreign and Albanian companies to stop damage to digital systems.
Government systems will remain shut down until the enemy attacks are neutralized, but how long this shutdown will last is not yet known.
