According to Kosovar media, the young man was arrested due to a conflict that occurred in the neighborhood “Arbëria (Dragodan)” in Pristina, very close to the US Embassy in Kosovo.

“At 22:20, the police was notified of a case in which two vehicles were involved, namely their drivers. The case, according to initial information, occurred as a result of traffic disputes between the drivers of the two cars. The case is being treated in SP ‘Jugu’ in Prishtina “, it is said in the police notification.

But it seems that after the interrogation, the well-known moderator was released. This has been confirmed by his lawyer, Asdren Hoxha. The latter made a post on “Facebook”, where he posted a photo where he appears together with the moderator. Hoxha rejects the suspicions that he may be on the run. The moderator’s lawyer adds that Mjekiqi is free and has never been interviewed by the police for shooting, as reported by some media.

“Meriton Mjekiqi is free… I am his lawyer and I inform the public that he has not been interviewed for any shooting. “This kind of information from the media was not on the run without any official confirmation. It is worrying.… In this case, the journalist was provoked on the street and this is the truth… The mountain shook and the mouse was born”, the lawyer wrote on “Facebook”.
