The battle between Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha will end in court. After the Assembly was dismissed, the leader of the Democrats convened an extraordinary meeting of the party leadership where a criminal report was filed for forgery of party symbols.
“The Presidency instructed the Executive Secretariat to follow all steps to bring to justice all persons responsible for the falsification and misuse of the symbols of the Democratic Party institutions,” Basha said.
Lulzim Basha responded with the same coin to the Assembly of Berisha who dismissed him from office by proposing the same decision for 11 rebel deputies who came out against him starting from the chairman of the national council Edi Paloka.

Lulzim Basha made it clear that he does not know and will not accept any decision of Berisha’s assembly.
“I assure every democrat that all the institutions of the Democratic Party, starting from the National Council, the Presidency and the President continue to be in charge, in fulfilling their responsibilities and in the service of the Democrats and all Albanians. On December 18, the Democratic Party will leave behind the bitter parts of its past, along with the remnants of communism and corruption towards the change that every democrat and Albanian deserves.
The presidency also decided to dismiss the 11 branch presidents who rejected Lulzim Basha’s assembly.
