Basha will gather today at 11:00 in the Palace of Congresses the PD delegates, while they are expected to vote on status changes!
The National Assembly of the Democratic Party comes just one week after that of Berisha, where it was voted for the dismissal of Basha and the statute of the Democratic Party was changed.
This Saturday is expected to be crucial for the two opposing camps within the Democratic Party. We recall that today in all branches of the Democratic Party in the districts will be held a referendum on the dismissal of Basha, a decision issued by the Assembly of Berisha. However, Basha has stated that he does not recognize any decision issued by this Assembly.
Both sides do not recognize each other’s statutes, while the following days are expected to be quite decisive for the fate of the largest opposition party in the country.
The DP is now the only party in the country with two statutes, one submitted by Basha to the Tirana Court a few days ago and the other submitted by the DP Re-establishment Group.
The political battle between Berisha and Basha took place when the latter expelled the former DP leader from the PD Parliamentary Group, after he was declared ‘non grata’ by the US State Department.
