The leader of the Vlora branch, Genc Deromema, spoke after the end of the election process for the “dismissal” of Basha, saying that the turnout in the referendum was higher than in the elections for the chairman of the DP.
Deromema said that it was not a simple process, but stressed that 911 were valid votes from 1365 members of the Vlora branch of the Democratic Party. His irony for Basha was not lacking as he was asked why there are 150 votes more than on June 13 when he was voting for the chairman of the Democratic Party.
Deromema: All members of the Democratic Party, Vlora branch have expressed their free will full of enthusiasm and have taken over the country’s opposition, not just members of the Democratic Party in Vlora, but throughout Albania, the opposition will return to the citizens and we will have a real opposition in Albania. Out of 1365 members, 913 voted, of which 911 were valid votes. 8 members voted against, the others are in favor of the decision number 6 of the National Assembly of the Democratic Party and of December 11, the real Assembly not only of the Democrats, but of the Albanians. We had Rama here, he said about co-government, but he had an eye from the PD headquarters. I believe that there is no discussion about the veracity of this process.
Question: There are 150 votes more than in favor of Basha’s appointment a few months ago. Why all this anger?
Deromema: On June 13, 733 members of the Democratic Party voted, of which Basha won the Vlora branch with 369 votes. You can make a difference yourself, I do that I am an engineer by profession and I assure you that I am very good at mathematics.
