Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha took part this Tuesday in the ceremony for the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Party in Durrës.
In his speech before the Democrats, the former historical leader of this party called the time of the leadership of the Democratic Party by Lulzim Basha as eight years of national disaster!
“Today, after 30 years, the DP remains one of the two largest political forces in former communist Europe. The forces that overthrew dictatorships did not stand the test of time. Their mission is over. This did not happen with the DP. The PD, despite the great upheavals it suffered again, remained the main political force of the country. She had many times more difficult periods than her sisters in the former communist countries, which could have ended up in the history archives, but that did not happen!
Today we unite here and we are everywhere in Albania from an opposition in a state of agony, from an opposition light years away from what was and should be PD, in a real opposition! Today I declare before you and the Albanians that the most vital and crucial report on political pluralism is the most true opposition report. An opposition may or may not be great, it may win or lose the battle but it is always sowing hope, if its members see it as something real!
“We stopped in some aspects of being a real opposition, the border between the opposition stance of the DP and the structured criminal stance of the government was blurring, if the latter with its decisions every day sowed despair, insecurity, disappointment among citizens, the opposition in a kind her imitation did not inspire hope, confidence, optimism and it was a great national disaster! This time is over! ”Said Berisha.
Berisha has not even spared the ‘nails’ for Basha, while he has not spared the accusations and calls for Prime Minister Edi Rama!
“Today we are free because despite the crime regime, violence and pressure, we decided this autumn to stand up as free people. We decided to tell the faithful that your time is over, we decided to tell Edvin Rama not to play with the opposition. You will soon prove how much you will pay for your game with pluralism and the Albanian opposition.
