The tour operator, Besnik Vathi, invited this evening to ‘Open’, said that only in the hotels along the coast of Durrës will celebrate 3 to 4 thousand vacationers on New Year’s Eve.
Vathi says that about 10-15% of these figures are foreigners, while highlighting Bulgarian tourists, who have already turned it into a tradition to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Durres.

Besnik Vathi: I can say that since we start from Durrës, about 15 beach hotels organize the New Year, there are about 3000-4000 Albanian or foreign tourists, where only Bulgarians enter, as only they celebrate the New Year abroad more. and have been around for 4-5 years that were the first to start coming to the hotels of Durrës, a tradition that this year with the facilities that Albania has due to the measures I believe there are more Bulgarians than foreigners. 10-15% are foreigners, the rest will be from Tirana and Durres. The destination of this end of the year is the beach of Durrës for the New Year.
