“I want to congratulate the Bulgarian parliament for today’s vote that paves the way for the possibility of lifting the veto and the start of negotiations for Northern Macedonia and consequently for Albania. I will work on the technical issues needed to formalize an agreement in the coming days with Bulgaria and Macedonia. I would say that the whole European machinery is ready and I would like to thank the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, but also his coalition, all the political forces for this vote. “We can not call it a victory, but it is a step forward, we are now following the presidency of the Czech Republic.”said Macron.
