Shkodër / Mass checks throughout the territory, in order to prevent, identify and crack down on criminal activity in the field of cultivation of narcotic plants.
Two massive control operations are carried out, codenamed “Vilu” and “Obot”, within which 2 cases of cultivation of narcotic plants were identified and hit.
During the operations, 2 suspected perpetrators of these criminal activities were declared wanted, who, due to the forested terrain, were able to leave the places where they cultivated narcotic plants.
Following the work to prevent, identify and crack down on criminal activity in the field of narcotics, the services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat have continued detailed controls of the territory, from the ground and from the air, using drones.
As part of the police operation codenamed “Vilu”, in a place called “Vilu”, Velipoja, on a surface of forested land, suspected narcotic plants cannabis sativa were found cultivated, which were destroyed by burning.
Following the investigative actions, it became possible to identify the suspected perpetrator of this criminal activity, citizen RP, 38 years old, resident in the village of Pulaj-Plazh Velipoja, Shkodra, who was declared wanted and work is underway to catch him.

As part of the police operation codenamed “Obot”, in the village of Obot, in the place called “Zalli Bunës”, suspected narcotic plants of the type cannabis sativa were found cultivated, which were destroyed by burning.
Following the investigative actions, it became possible to identify the suspected perpetrator of this criminal activity, citizen HZ, 55 years old, resident in the village of Oblikë, Shkodër, who was declared wanted and work is underway to catch him.
Work is underway to fully document these 2 cases, identify and apprehend other persons involved.
The materials were referred to the Prosecution at the Shkodra Judicial District Court, for further action.
