The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others.
Any citizen over the age of 16 can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point. AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation. Vaccination with the third dose has also started for all citizens +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose.
If you suspect you are affected by COVID19 or have signs of the disease, isolate yourself immediately and contact your GP for testing or call the National Emergency number at unique 127.
We inform you about the situation in the last 24 hours, as follows: 5639 tests were performed, out of which 547 citizens tested positive for COVID19, in the following municipalities:
239 in Tirana, 30 in Durrës, 28 in Saranda, 25 in Fier, 18 in Vlora, 16 in Elbasan, 14 in Lushnje, out of 12 citizens in Tepelena, Shkodra, out of 10 citizens in Lezha, Kamza, out of 9 citizens in Korca, Mallakastër, 8 in Patos, from 7 citizens in Mat, Divjakë, Gjirokastër, Skrapar, from 5 citizens in Himara, Krujë, Shijak, Mirditë, Puka, from 4 citizens in Kavaja, Këlcyrë, Kuçovë, Peqin, from 3 citizens in Cerrik, Devoll, Selenica, Dibër, Vora, Malësi e Madhe, Vau i Dejës, by 2 citizens in Kukës, Kurbin, Roskovec, Kolonjë, by 1 citizen in Librazhd, Belsh, Berat, Maliq, Memaliaj, Përmet, Konispol, Delvinë, Tropojë.
There are 5,506 active COVID19 patients nationwide.
Currently in COVID hospitals are receiving treatment 90 patients, of whom 15 are in more serious condition. Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours there are 5 lives lost with SARS-COV2 positive: a citizen from Gramsh 64 years old, a citizen from Elbasan 76 years old, a citizen from Durrës 78 years old, a citizen from Tirana 86 years old, a citizen from Lushnja 88 years old.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
298 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 200,181 since the beginning of the epidemic.
