In today’s plenary session, the opposition demanded that the candidacies for the board of the Bank of Albania not be voted on, as their representative, Mateo Spaho, is not part of the agenda in the Assembly.
The chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, replied to Jorida Tabaku while proposing a hearing with the opposition candidate, Mateo Spahon, for the board of the Bank of Albania.
During the debate, Balla told Tabak that Ridvan Bode has never been part of the majority on this board.
Debate in the Assembly:
Tabaku: You have Ridvan Boden as a representative in the Bank of Albania. At least two opposition representatives are needed on the board of the Bank of Albania. We demand that the opposition candidate Mateo Spaho be included in the agenda to be voted to become part of the board or that the majority candidacies do not pass until the request for submission to the economy committee is made.
Taulant Balla: In that institution there is no balance, there are two candidacies from the previous legislature. Let’s not discuss these things anymore. I have debated a lot with Boden in 8 years here in the Assembly. Do not call us Ridvan Boden ours because it does not do you honor, it is yours. It is another candidacy that has come from the opposition, so there are two candidacies. The Committee on Economy is here during the session process to hold a hearing and include the opposition candidacies in the agenda. When the SP was in opposition there were no two, we only had one. Those candidacies that you have, no one takes you, those that you did to us when we were in opposition, we do not do. We want balance. SP does not violate the principles, to be included in the agenda and to discuss the meeting in the committee of the economy. Apologize and do not waste it!
