(Document) April 25 elections / PD and LSI sign coalition agreement with slogan ‘Albania, the house that wins’

The agreement was signed by the leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha and the chairwoman of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Monika Kryemadhi.

As the United Opposition, PD and LSI will run in elections with two lists (PD-AN + LSI).

The agreement between the two political forces envisages 13 points, the main one being the recovery of the country from the very severe economic crisis caused, according to them by the clientelist and collaborating government of the oligarchy and crime.

Another point of the agreement is the fulfillment of all conditions for the opening of negotiations for membership in the European Union and the end of any obstacles created by the current government for this vital process for all Albanians as well as for the mobilization of all political and political factors. civil society for the realization of this objective.

Representation at all levels of future government will be proportionally based on the election result.

COALITION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF ALBANIA AND THE SOCIALIST MOVEMENT FOR INTEGRATION

Democratic Party and Socialist Movement for Integration,

With the solemn commitment to solve the critical constitutional, institutional, political, economic, social and public health problems that the country is facing and that have led the situation in Albania to a very dangerous crossroads;

Supported and following the agreement establishing the United Opposition, dated 23/04/2019;

In response to the arbitrary, unconstitutional changes of the Electoral Code and the Constitution of Albania of July 30, 2020;

With the aim of giving Albania a new government, ‘from the people – for the people’, which will put an end to the extreme political, economic and social polarization that the country has, restore their confidence in building Albania like the whole of Europe, creating opportunities for well-paid employment, liberating the economy and offering every citizen, young people and women, entrepreneurs and retirees, real opportunities for well-being and prosperity.

Decide:

Tackling and solving the country’s critical problems will be the basic objective of the electoral programs in the April 25 elections and the pillars of the joint governing program after the election victory.

As the United Opposition, PD and LSI will compete in elections with two lists (PD-AN + LSI), to achieve a full and comprehensive political-electoral representation and the crowning of the victory of the Opposition in the elections of April 25, 2021 .

Respect the basic program pillars of both respective parties in the next government.

Representation at all levels of future government will be proportionally based on the election result.

The United Opposition will be unanimous in their commitment to governance to provide immediate answers and solutions to the following:

1. Getting the country out of the very severe economic crisis caused by the clientelist and collaborating government of the oligarchy and crime. The return of the economy to the function of employment and welfare of citizens, ending the largest robbery ever occurred in the history of Albania, through concessions, oligarchs, corruption with public money, which has invaded every level of government. This economic transformation will be realized with a clear program and widely discussed with citizens and interest groups.
2. Meeting all the conditions for the opening of negotiations for membership in the European Union and ending any obstacles created by the current government for this vital process for all Albanians as well as for the mobilization of all political factors and civil society for the realization of this objective.
3. Restoring the rule of law and the rule of law, freeing the state from capture, restoring accountability, ending the flagrant abuse and violation of the Constitution and laws, the impunity of public officials and destructive phenomena such as corruption and usurpation of power for personal benefits and interests.
4. Building an intensive government action to curb mass depopulation.
5. Prioritize the creation of well-paid employment, as the main way to improve the lives of Albanians.
6. Implementation of a governing program with priority given to the youth, for a quality education and wide employment opportunities, to eliminate the tragedy of depopulation and mass departure of young people and for further integration in management, policy-making and society.
7. To guarantee equal opportunities for the representation of women in decision-making, for their emancipation and empowerment in society and policy-making.
8. To carry out an uncompromising fight against organized crime, trafficking of all kinds and money laundering, as the main obstacles to the development of the country and the public safety of citizens.
9. To solve as a priority the problem of reconstruction of dwellings damaged and destroyed by earthquakes. For a very fast, non-corrupt and selective process and with legal guarantees for their property, which enables the citizens to have the residential or service units in the fastest possible time.
10. To end the critical problem of the COVID-19 pandemic, by implementing a health-social plan, which responds to the limitation of the spread, the realization of tests, traces and medical treatments, the reimbursement of expenses for the patients who are treated in the dwelling, extensive vaccination of the population away from discriminatory treatment. To implement the plan of economic recovery and support of citizens and businesses affected by the pandemic.
11. For the real and essential development of culture and sports.
12. To protect the cultural heritage and to end its damage, alienation and destruction.
13. To guarantee the restitution of property to religious communities in our country.
