Just one day after leaving the office of head of state, Ilir Meta returned this Monday to the party he created himself.
Emphasizing that he did not come to take the leadership of the Socialist Movement for Integration, a position held by his wife Monika Kryemadhi, Meta spoke of a political grouping larger than LSI itself, mentioning the word ‘referendum’.
The Referendum Party is waiting for us. This is the party of the people of March 2, which solves every problem in Albania, said Meta.
Analyst Dritan Hila, in an interview with journalist Denis Dyrnjaja on “Top Talk”, says that Meta is unclear with his statements and “you need a psychiatrist to understand him”.
“I have to be Meta’s psychiatrist to find out what was on his mind. However, Meta does not have the political power to freeze Edi Rama’s blood“, says the analyst.
However, according to him, Meta will not leave the Socialist Movement for Integration, as this party is already a brand.
“Meta may have many faults, but he is not stupid. He knows how politics works, he has the right instincts for that job. It is said that he will create a new party, but I say that he will not do such a thing, because he knows how politics works. Here’s a brand like LSI. Brands are very difficult to create. Berisha is not fighting for the DP to take it because it does not have votes. It is fighting for the brand. So, Meta is not running away from LSi. It depends on what breath he will give to LSi, he will take the institutionalist breath, after he has sent some signals, since he says that a new dawn is coming”.
