Journalist Alfred Peza, through a post on social networks announces that he has held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama, today, writing that the latter has asked to join the team of deputies of the Socialist Party, for the elections of April 25 .
Peza praised and thanked the Prime Minister but in the end he rejected this request, as it is not in the style of his work and according to him there are many other SPs, who love the work of the deputy more.
“The deputy chair is not for me at this stage of my life and activity!”, Writes Peza in the post.

Dear friends!
I just finished a meeting with Prime Minister Rama and I want to share with you the reason and the end of the meeting.
The Prime Minister asked me for my readiness to be part of the parliamentary team for the elections of April 25, 2021, appreciating my contribution as an MP before and as a person engaged in the public debate afterwards.
I was pleased that in his assessment, he underlined that in the public debate I contributed not as a “partisan”, but as a committed citizen. Of course with conviction and direction in support of the work of this majority, but without ever violating ethics and never retaliating partisanship to other parties.I thanked Edi Ramen for this interest, which I consider special because it is not in his work style! I felt good knowing that the lists are completely in the hands of the district leaders, until they come tomorrow to Rama’s office in the SP before the presidency meeting in the evening.

I told the Prime Minister and I am telling you all that I felt privileged to have represented before, the electoral will of the citizens in the Albanian Parliament. But the deputy chair is not for me at this stage of my life and activity!
I will stand by Edi Rama because I believe in him and his work, regardless of the position I may have in relation to the challenges of the majority that will surely be reconfirmed on April 25th. There are many other SPs, who love him more than me and do the job of deputy as well or better than me, so I leave my place to any of them in the Albanian Parliament with more pleasure.
I remain as always committed to give my maximum contribution to this political family, where I have felt good from day one and it will be a pleasure and pride for me to side with MP friends, whether in the campaign or in any field challenge after the victory!
