Extraordinary work has been done in the administrative unit of Manza regarding the reconstruction, thanks to the great support we have had from the government led by Edi Rama.
This is what the mayor Emiriana Sako said in the meeting held with the residents of Manza. She said: “In Manza alone, 140 individual apartments have been built from scratch, the new neighborhood has been completed, which, within March, will house the first 90 families. The houses we have built there will also house other homeless families. In your unit we have invested ALL 200 million from the municipal budget for road infrastructure and water supply and sewerage. The school of Armathë has become new with funds from the state budget and here we have planned to demolish some other educational buildings damaged by the earthquake and then to build new ones ”.
Mayor Sako also spoke to the residents about urban waste management, stating that Durrës breathes freely after the closure of all landfills in Vadardhë, Manëz, Bize and especially after the closure of landfills in Porto Romano where already An Eco Park has been set up with amusement spaces, greenery and sports fields: “We are being told that we made a mistake by removing the waste from Porto Romano and created a park where we planted 1200 trees, built sports fields and recreation areas, they tell us that we have made a mistake why we closed the waste areas in Manëz, Vadardhë and Bize, so say those who want only hassle. But we have started a great work for the transformation of the city and on this occasion I want to invite all citizens without distinction, to join this transformational initiative.
