Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said today that the agreement signed to facilitate the export of wheat will ease the risks of hunger for billions of people.
“Millions of people will be freed from this danger of starvation. In the coming days, we will see the start of ship traffic and many places will have a breath of fresh air. This will contribute to the entire process from export to arrival at the destination and we have reached an agreement on all points”. Erdogan said.
The implementation of the agreement will be done through the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul, he emphasized.
“We have carried out an intensive and difficult process with Ukraine, Russia and UN officials on the export of wheat. We were in constant contact. We held extensive consultations, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense made a great effort.”- he added.
