A young woman, whose life turned upside down after a serious accident, woke up from a coma to discover that her boyfriend had left her when she was unconscious.
Brie Duval had settled in Australia from her native Canada and continued the relationship with her four-year-old boyfriend, writes Metro.co.uk.
The 25-year-old was left with a head wound after falling from a high car park that had been left unfinished by builders.
Brie told the daily Mirror that she had remained for four weeks in a coma with several fractures and broken bones, while family members had been warned that she had only a slim chance of surviving.
When she finally woke up and started recovering, she wrote to her boyfriend, to find out that he had blocked all connections even from social networks.
The girl told the daily: “They finally gave me my phone and the first thought was to call her and find out if she knew what had happened.”
“I opened the phone to write to her but I got a message from a woman telling me that ‘your partner is already with me. “He has left the apartment and lives with me and my son. Please do not contact him.”
“And I have not heard from him since I was in the hospital, it was a serious abandonment. “I have no idea why this happened.”
Brie indicated that even her parents could not come to Australia because of the total isolation imposed by the authorities at the time.
She documents her story on the social network TikTok where she tells about the severe head wound and then re-learning simple tasks such as walking and housework.
