A 31-year-old man, declared wanted for traffic violations and leaving the scene of the accident, has tried to escape from the police once again by bribing them with money.
According to the notification made by the police, it is learned that the citizen MM, at the moment of detention for control, gave the police officer a 5,000 Lekë banknote.
Specialists of Investigation of Economic-Financial Crime arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen MM, 31 years old, resident in the village Karbunar Lushnje, for the criminal offense “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions”, after the moment of detention for control by the Operational services at DVP Elbasan, gave the police officer a 5,000 lekë banknote, which was seized as material evidence.
From the verifications performed, it resulted that this citizen was declared wanted by the Lushnje Police Commissariat, for the criminal offenses “Violation of traffic rules” and “Leaving the scene of the accident”, the police announced.
Meanwhile, EC citizen, 30 years old, resident in Elbasan, was arrested in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense “Irregular driving”, after being caught drunk driving a Volkswagen vehicle in “Kamber Sejdini” street in Elbasan ”.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Elbasan Court of First Instance, for further action.
