After returning from the United States, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said on Friday that the purpose of the two-week visit was security and investment in Kosovo.
“Two main goals of this visit were to the United States of America, the first is investments in Kosovo, the second is security for Kosovo. Prime Minister Kurti said that in America he has asked for support for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.
“We asked for support for the NATO Partnership for Peace program, which is the very important first step towards NATO membership. We talked about the possibilities to help us for membership in the Council of Europe, where we have already applied, there are several countries, which have the status of observers, in addition to the member states, among which the United States of America should be mentioned. We also discussed Kosovo’s intention to apply for membership in the European Union“, He said.
Kurti also mentioned the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue,
“The Kosovo-Serbia dialogue was also mentioned, in which case the position and goal are unwavering. So, Belgrade must change and the dialogue must result in a legally binding agreement for the full normalization of relations, in which case mutual recognition must be at the center.“, Stressed Kurti.
