Man attacks neighbor with samurai sword after conflict over ‘children’s shoes’ (photos)

Some footage shot from the incident showed the menacing man Dean Brown behaving recklessly on the residential road in Somerset, southwest England

The 42-year-old striker started chasing 34-year-old Robinson, her ex-partner Lance Buchanan, and another man who was with them, in October last year.

The footage shows Brown waving his long sword but consequently attacking his victims with only verbal insults leaving them terrified.

Jennifer, who says she lost consciousness during the incident later described the event as something she had only seen in horror movies.

She said: “I believed that such events only happened in horror movies.

“I did not believe anyone could commit such heinous acts. “Now I have nightmares about cutting weapons, as well as when I remember the sounds of the sword hitting Lance’s shell.”

The court was told that the violence started after a conflict between the children.

Jennifer said she was at home when neighbor Dean’s girlfriend Jodie Brown started knocking on her door shouting “something about shoes”.

Jennifer says she refused to comply with Jodie Brown’s request so the latter punched her.

Another male neighbor had attempted to intervene so Dean came to the scene with his gun.

Dean then attacked him as well, forcing him to gather to protect them after his helmet fell on his head.

Jennifer says the assailant pushed her against the wall, hitting her with something, “maybe one of his weapons”.

“I do not know how it was but it seems to me that they could not find her daughter’s shoes, so they attacked me and I thought they would kill,” said Jennifer.

Dean was sentenced to 25 months in prison after pleading guilty to threats and bodily harm.

Jodie Brown has also pleaded guilty to physical assault charges but has not yet received her sentence.
