The new US Ambassador to Pristina, Jeffrey Hovenier, said that in Kosovo, as in any other country, there is still unfinished business, but added that the future of the country is in the hands of leaders in Kosovo.

Hovenier, during the joint press conference with Osmani said that Kosovo has managed to establish itself on the global stage as a successful democratic and multiethnic state.
Meanwhile, Osmani said that Kosovo and the United States represent common democratic values.
“Our country, Kosovo, believes in and represents the values that the United States represents. “Our two peoples believe in democratic freedoms and we are determined to always protect them, since we have won them with a lot of effort and sacrifice,” said Osmani.
Hovenier succeeds Philip Kosnetti as ambassador to Kosovo.
Hovenier is a career diplomat with the US Foreign Service, who has been part of the staff of the United Nations Special Envoy for Kosovo.
