The Intelligence Office of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that the senior Russian commander, Eduard Basurin, has disappeared.
According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine, Basurina was the commander who ordered the use of chemical weapons in Mariupol.
“This is just a continuation of the repression against the commanders of the Russian army, who failed to develop the original plan for the invasion of Ukraine. The further fate of the former commander is unknown.” writes further in the notification of the Ukrainian authorities.
This is not the only case of the fate of commanders who do not bring the results required by Russia.
Basurina is the deputy commander of the Defense Corps of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic.
