“Today we saw a man sitting in the dark, a murmur from Bankya, who sends messages to the people in the National Assembly, a man who stays in the barn for so many years and defines politics, with Mr. Peevski and Mrs. “Mitrofanova voted against this government.”
So stated the Prime Minister Kiril Petkov in the square in front of tens of thousands of protesters against the fall of the government after the no-confidence vote.
“Do you know what happened today? Something very good! (…) Here these four persons gathered and decided to overthrow this government and order their deputies depending on how to vote. But what they do not understand is that this is not the way to win Bulgaria. “They did not realize that all of you do not have buttons to press!” he added.
“There are no people in Bulgaria who want to be led by this quadruple coalition. “With this vote, they have done the worst for themselves – this vote is a small step towards the long road to regaining the country!” said the Prime Minister.
Kiril Petkov told the protesters that they are the guarantor that Bulgaria will look different after the next elections.
Former Parliament Speaker Nikola Minchev also spoke briefly to thousands of protesters:
“We will continue to do what we have done so far and even better. And we will not leave things unfinished because this is not our style. Thank you, we are doing it for all of you! ”
