From the police checks near the white lines, it was noticed that the drivers of vehicles do not give priority to pedestrians. This Tuesday morning alone, more than 50 drivers were punished for this violation.
Police officers were positioned near white visas where they watched the behavior of drivers when pedestrians were crossing the road. In cases where they continued to move, the violation was filmed and the patrol stationed at the next intersection communicated the fine. Almost all violators did not agree with the fine of 2 thousand ALL that they received for this violation.
In the first 4 months of this year 56 people lost their lives as a result of road accidents and 52 others were seriously injured. The analysis of cases has shown that 90% of fatal accidents have occurred as a result of irregular behavior of drivers.
