Yesterday, with a majority of votes, the majority voted against the idea put forward by Berisha to punish Serbian crimes in Serbia.
This issue has politically provoked the waters not only of Albania but also beyond and without reactions from Serbs but also Bosniaks and Croats.
The problems and internal conflicts of the Albanian parliament have been reflected abroad as an Albanian support for Serbia and this Serbian press has commented by thanking Albania and calling on Serbs to visit the Albanian coast in the summer.
On the other hand, journalist Idro Seferi commented on this situation, saying that senior Albanian politicians should visit Serbrenica on an anniversary in order to show the importance of this act for Albanians and their support.
Has the Serbian press welcomed this decision of the Albanian parliament?
Idro Seferi: Of course, not only the Serbian press but the entire Serbian-speaking press has thanked Albania, saying that it is someone who understands it. I do not know what they think but the news that has come out is as if Albania really thinks that no crime was committed in Srebrenica, there were even calls from Serbs to go as much as possible to Albania in the tourist season as Albania supports them. The media in Novi Pazar have called for a boycott of Albanian products. So two versions have been created, the Bosniaks who feel offended and the Serbs who feel grateful for this issue. It is difficult to explain outside that this is just an ordinary political clash. A respect for the victims of that massacre creates a state maturity of Albania by standing up to the victims.
Dyrnjaja: Although Berisha used it as a trick, this will remain as the act of the Albanian Parliament. Do you have an idea how this act can be recovered?
Idro Seferi: Bosnia can not decide alone, it still decides with three presidents, there can be no external reaction but there can be dissatisfaction from Bosniaks and Croats. The fact that we still have open political debates in these areas, involvement from abroad is diplomatically harmful for Albania. It would be very useful for senior political representatives to visit Serbrenica on an anniversary.
