Amanti is 9 years old and has finished the fourth grade at the ‘Kosova’ school, but not with much desire to attend class.
“It’s not that I have much interest in the class because I find it very simple. I finish the tests first and get the maximum results”, said student Amanti Sulaj.
“I know what is explained in class and he often asks me to stay at home.” he further added.
Amanti’s parents have noticed that their son is losing interest in school as his knowledge exceeds his grade level.
“I want to go to the 6th grade, I worked with all the 6th grade books myself,” Amanti said.
“Before he was 3 years old, when his older brother was in first grade and doing math operations. Amanti answered immediately and his answers were correct. Amanti started learning as an autodidact and has progressed a lot over the years… he is more developed than normal children. For this reason, I have asked the school principal and the caretaker teacher to approve the boy’s passing a grade higher, taking a test, but there is no legal clause that would allow the boy!”said Kapllan Sulaj, the boy’s father.
