On December 27, the third term of the Socialist Party, led by Edi Rama, turned 100 days old.
A recent study summarizes all the commitments the government has outlined in its program and analyzes the work done by the executive in these 100 days:
““The balance of the first 100 days of this mandate is not as effective compared to the first mandate, due to the decline of political will, energy and desire to change something.”.
The study showed that only 9% of the commitments have been fulfilled, for 51% of them steps have been taken or half have been completed and the rest is still on paper. But which are the sectors with the most commitments realized?
“We have the field of education that has approved the introduction of English in the first grade and the creation of sports classes. We also have the field of economy, with the approval of new fiscal changes, approved by the Assembly. “Meanwhile, we have an extension of the deadline for reconstruction and infrastructure projects.”
Expert Eduart Gjokutaj says that in 2022, the government based on the program is expected to focus on four key sectors:
“Agritourism is expected to be the headline of the government next year. Another important sector is health, where logistical investments have been made, but other reforms are also expected. Then comes education, the job market and investing in young people. Whereas, the tourism and environment sector is not left behind, which has been talked about in every public appearance of the government during this year.”.
The government on the other hand in the first 100 days has declared an energy emergency, while the Reconstruction has received great priority, but also various infrastructure projects, which due to extended deadlines are considered as half-fulfilled commitments.
