The body of a British pensioner has been found in a rubbish bin in Spain after disappearing about three weeks ago.
Denis Walker’s relatives had issued a desperate appeal to find her after she disappeared from the La Parilla Hotel in Albox on March 24th.
An investigation had been launched into the 82-year-old, until he was found in the southeastern city of Arbolea.
Investigators said they do not believe his death came from natural causes, but so far there is nothing to show he was the victim of a crime.
Mr. Walker was suffering from dementia, his daughter Joanne had previously announced in a post.
“He does not leave his country and is happy to stay at the bar to spend the day,” she wrote on April 1.
A spokesman for the Spanish Civil Guard in Almeria said: “We confirm that the body of a Briton, who was declared missing last month, was found on Monday in the municipality of Arbolea.
“Investigations into the circumstances of his death are ongoing,” he added.
