Carlo Ancelotti is not the only one to have achieved a historic record (winning the title in five elite European championships) following Real Madrid’s recent success in La Liga. A “Los Blancos” footballer has gone down in history as the player with the most trophies at the “Merngues” club.
The latest champion title brings to 24 the number of trophies won by Marcelo with the white jersey, surpassing the Gento legend. The Brazilian winger is also the foreign player with the most appearances with Real (545 games and 38 goals). The trophies won by Marcelo in Madrid are: 4 Champions League, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 6 La Liga titles, 2 King’s Cups, and 5 Spanish Super Cups.
“Is this my last title with the Real jersey? “I do not know that, but I am feeling immense happiness,” said Marcelo. Meanwhile, the latest title brings to 28 the number of trophies won during the presidency of Florentinio Perez for a total of 10 seasons.
