Albania does not need another name from the current opposition for President, said the socialist Taulant Balla, who as a reason for his statement says that “we have seen how Ilir Meta has abused his office”.
“Meta is the right identity to have the opposite. “What the constitution has said is that the president should be an authority over the parties.”
However, adds the chairman of the SP Parliamentary Group, the opposition is invited to present its proposals, to be discussed later in parliament.
“If the opposition will come with a concrete name from their ranks, it is welcome and then we will have a dialogue. “It is our desire to elect a President with the greatest possible consensus.”
Balla is optimistic when he says that “believes that in Albania we can find someone to get the votes of all deputies”.
