The lawyer of the famous Spanish singer Carlos Marin, of the group Divo has said that the artist was injected with the Janssen vaccine, also known as Johnson & Johnson, before he died in hospital from Covid.
The development comes as Marin’s ex-wife, Geraldine Larossa, also known by the stage name Innocence, broke the silence with a heartfelt homage on social media saying the singer’s death leaves a big hole in her life.
He will be buried in Spain in the costume in which he performed around the world, as homage is expected to be held in Madrid when his body is repatriated from Britain, his sister Rosa said yesterday.
Ms Martin said the singer had fallen ill on Dec. 7 and was subsequently hospitalized.
She added that the singer took care to protect himself from the disease and traveled by private plane but it is learned that he was infected at his concerts filled with fans.
It is not clear when Carlos got the Janssen vaccine but it was recently revealed that Marin had also fought with Covid in December 2019 during a US tour.
“He went to the hospital in Manchester on December 7 and never recovered. “Janssen had the vaccine and we have the documents to test it but they do not protect 100 percent”, she added.
