Police have uncovered the theft of a significant amount of money, which occurred on 11.12.2021, in a supermarket in Saranda.
The operation carried out by the services of the Saranda Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Local Police Directorate of Vlora and the Local Police Directorate of Lezha.
2 citizens are handcuffed.
The amounts of 400,000 ALL, 2500 dollars and 1000 pounds are seized, 2 vehicles with which the perpetrators left after the event, 4 mobile phones, 3 DVR devices and 2 laptops.
Services of Saranda Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Local Police Directorate of Vlora and the Local Police Directorate of Lezha, under the direction of the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Saranda, following the work to prevent thefts, clarify those that occurred before and bringing the perpetrators to justice, after a thorough investigative work, successfully organized and finalized the operation “Fundviti”, in which the citizens were handcuffed:
ED (Gj.), 40 years old, resident in Tale, Lezha, previously convicted in Italy, for “Theft” and “Violence / attack on police forces”;
BC, 37 years old, resident in Saranda.
From the investigative actions it is suspected that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, have stolen a considerable amount of money, in a supermarket in neighborhood no. 4, in Saranda, on 11.12.2021.
The citizen BC was employed as a security camera technician in this supermarket and through his phone he checked the amount of money that was found in the premises of this subject.
In the quality of material evidence were seized the amounts of 400,000 new lek, 2500 US dollars, 1000 British pounds, 2 vehicles with which the perpetrators left after the event, 4 mobile phones, 3 DVR devices and 2 laptops.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance Saranda, for further action, for the criminal offense “Theft” committed in collaboration.
