The court of Tirana will review today the request of the PD Re-establishment group for the statutory changes approved in the December 11 assembly.
As announced, the court hearing has started today at 10:30. Re-establishment lawyers Ivi Kaso and Ledio Nuraj have arrived in court.
It remains to be seen whether the internal conflict in the Democratic Party will be resolved by the court.
The internal conflict in the Democratic Party risks turning the Tirana court into an institution where justice is not done, but politics. Yesterday, journalist Anila Hoxha learned that Judge Agron Zhukri can not review this request of the Re-establishment for the change of the statute based on the Assembly of December 11 because there is no document for it as the file is in the Appeal.
Unofficial sources told journalist Hoxha that this would be an unprecedented case in the history of justice, where the trial begins for a case when it had to wait for what the Appeal will announce.
Meanwhile, the file of the statutory changes of the Democratic Party is in the Appeal, after the Democratic Party opposed the interim decision of the respective judge to unite in one case the statutory changes of the Assembly of July 17 and the statutory changes of December 11.
The latter belong to the Re-establishment Commission, which has dismissed every leading structure of the DP.
