The next day it was announced that at 11:00 a national protest will take place. People from all over Albania will gather in front of the prime minister’s office to protest the price increase.
The Prime Ministry has taken measures and tonight has started arming the doors.
Today was the third day of the protest in Tirana and other cities as citizens oppose the increase in the price of oil which has consequently led to the increase of other prices.
Dozens of citizens gathered in Tirana, who stayed for about 2 hours in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, and then moved to Durrës Street and the Zogu i Zi roundabout, where they obstructed the circulation of vehicles for several moments until the police intervened.
The tense situation was also in Durrës where citizens blocked the city streets and there were clashes after breaking the police cordon and their goal was to block the Tirana-Durrës highway.
