The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj has responded to the opposition regarding the traffic debates in Tirana.
Speaking at the meeting of the Municipal Council, Veliaj said that many of those opposition MPs who talk about traffic, are themselves contributors to traffic.
“Opposition MPs who complain about the traffic in Tirana, get their votes in another city, but they make their living in Tirana. One way to contribute to reducing traffic is for those who are MPs from another city to stay where they vote. They want the benefits for Tirana, but they do not take any responsibility. Do we have deviants and people who walk as crazy as in the case of an accident? Definitely, as there is in London, when the pandemic of stabbing for sports among teenagers broke out, as we have had waves of crime in some American cities. The question is, do we solve something by doing it as hysterical ?!“, Said Veliaj.
