Specialists of the Trafficking Investigation Section, following the work to crack down on illegality, after several weeks of thorough investigative work, successfully organized and finalized the police operation codenamed “Cultural Heritage”, within which the flagrant arrest of citizens:
– CA, 61 years old, resident of “Ali Demi” street, for the criminal offenses “Theft of works of art and culture”, and “Trafficking in works of art and culture”.
Police services, during the control exercised in an apartment owned by this citizen, in “Shyqyri Brati” street, have found about 4,000 items suspected of being movable cultural property.
In cooperation with the specialists and experts of the Specialized Institutions in the Ministry of Culture, the work for the inventory of these objects and the complete documentation of this criminal activity continues.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Tirana Judicial District, for further procedural actions.
