Comedian Dave Chappelle is known for his jokes with transgender people, but this time the situation is out of control. He was attacked on stage while performing on the Netflix show, Los Angeles.
Chappelle sparked outrage in the trans community with comments on the show saying “gender is a fact” and that women regardless of color have started to see each other the same. The actor also joked about the anatomy of trans women, saying that they lack real female reproductive organs and that they had no blood but ‘beet juice’.
This has prompted numerous comments on social media which judged jokes which are considered offensive to this group of individuals.
The video that is circulating on social networks shows a man climbing on stage and attacking the comedian, before the security intervened.
The footage later shows the perpetrator being treated by doctors for a severely injured arm before he was taken to hospital by ambulance, writes the Daily Mail.
This awkward situation resembles that of Chris Rock and Will Smith, where the latter hit the comedian in the middle of the scene after his joke about Smith’s partner’s hair.
