15 drivers were handcuffed or under investigation during the last week in Tirana, after being caught in violation of traffic rules.
The police announces that 2 cases of “Active corruption against persons exercising public functions” have been hit.
During the week, 87 driving licenses were suspended, divided according to violations: 33 for “Driving under the influence of alcohol”, 39 for speeding and 15 for other violations of the Road Code.
12 pairs of modified license plates were recovered, which did not belong to the vehicle or were deregistered in the countries of origin.
16 luxury vehicles were blocked, for lack of documentation and with foreign license plates, which were passed for further verifications to the Section Against Illegal Trafficking in DVP Tirana.
6323 administrative measures were also imposed, with an average of 903 measures per day, namely:
– 91 measures for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages;
– 76 measures for non-regulation of speed / speed racing;
– 87 for black glass;
– 307 measures for wrong overtaking;
– 1169 measures for the use of the mobile device while driving;
– 525 measures for not wearing a seat belt (of these 187 as the passengers in the vehicle had not fastened their seat belts);
– 68 measures for not wearing a protective helmet;
– 52 measures for traffic light violations;
– 69 administrative measures for lack of insurance;
– 3879 for wrong position / rest of the vehicle and for various violations.
