Vlora / Executed in the middle of the city, the serious images of the murder of Tauland Gjika

The serious incident happened at noon yesterday on the trans-Balkan road in front of the Court of Appeals.

The victim, also known by other surnames like Gjikaj or Manaj, was standing on the street, while the perpetrator, accompanied by another person, got out of a car with black windows and shot to death Gjikaj, a former police officer with a precedent of previous criminal.

The victim remained lying on the road for more than 5 minutes and was taken by ambulance while he died on the way to the hospital as he could not survive the injuries received.

After checks were made at the entrances and exits of the city to make it possible to apprehend the perpetrator, police escorted Andi Jonuzaj, who allegedly shot Gjikaj to death.

The victim Taulant Gjikaj in 2017 was arrested after a criminal event on charges of premeditated murder in collaboration left in attempted and illegal possession of weapons. He was part of a gunfight that took place in the city of Vlora. But the court at that time changed the measure of detention to house arrest for the second time and Taulant Beqiraj, Manaj, Gjikaj were released.
