The day before, members of both sides returned to their capitals for consultations after 5 hours of talks in Belarus.
Adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mikhaylo Podolyak, said the countries would be consulted before a second round of talks, which could take place in the coming days.
Their main purpose was to discuss the ceasefire and the end of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.
“The parties have defined the topics where certain decisions have been defined. In order for these decisions to be implemented as a guide, the parties are returning for consultations in their capitals. They discussed holding another round of negotiations where these decisions could take place“, Said Mikhaylo Podolyak.
He said the talks between Ukraine and Russia were “very difficult”.
Podolyak described the Russian side as “extremely one-sided”.
“Negotiations are difficult. However, already without any binding ultimatum. Unfortunately, the Russian side is still extremely one-sided regarding the destructive processes it has launched.”
