An ITV News reporter made a mistake during the live broadcast of Christmas Day while Pope Francis was delivering the message to the Vatican.

British television journalist Kylie Pentelow mistakenly announced the ‘death of Pope Francis’.

“The Pope’s festive speech focused on his prayers for an end to the pandemic. “Vaccines should be made available to those most in need,” he said. “His death was announced,” the journalist said.

However she soon realized the mistake and apologized live.

“Excuse me,” she continued.

The presenter’s mistake went viral on the web, sparking a wave of reactions from social media users.
