On Thursday evening, in the stadium “Air Albania” was played the derby of the capital between Partizan and Tirana.

A derby that gave a lot of emotions and was decided in the 100th minute as Redon Xhixha’s goal enabled Tirana to triumph with the result 1-2.

An extreme derby as well as the first historic derby played at the Air Albania stadium, that of December 13, in the 2019-20 season, where Cobbinah’s goal in the 90th minute gave the white and blues the victory with the result 1 -2. (Previously for Tirana had realized Batha, while for Partizan Bardhi).

In fact, it seems that the Air Albania stadium brings a lot of luck to the 25-time champions of Albania because apart from winning twice in the time limits against the Reds, they have not lost any of the five challenges played there.

In these five meetings held in the national arena, Tirana has received four victories and a draw, as it has managed to score 11 times in the gate of Partizan and concede only four goals. Meanwhile, in terms of the deepest result, the success stands out with the figures 5-1 in the 2019-20 season.

At the same time, in the 2019-20 season, a match at Air Albania ended in a 1-1 draw and at the extremes of the minutes of the match, (same as in the case of Cobbinah and Xhixha) exactly in the 92nd, Ernest Muçi equalized the result by devaluing William Cordeiro’s goal as he donated a precious point to his team that subsequently won the title. Remember that the first derby match of this season, Tirana won in “Air Albania” with the result 1-0 thanks to Limaj’s goal from the penalty spot.

In this form, it seems that Air Albania has become a taboo for Partizan when it comes to the derby, as the Reds have not yet enjoyed the first victory against the white and blues in the most modern plant in Albania, while this season they have two more matches to change history.
