The Catholic Church in Rome on Tuesday considered offensive and unacceptable a funeral ceremony outside a church in the Italian capital where a Nazi flag was thrown over the coffin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
It was an online media outlet that published photos and videos of the funeral ceremony taking place outside St. Lucia church.<\/p>\n
The published images showed dozens of people creating a corridor and honoring with fascist salute as soon as the coffin wearing the Nazi flag paraded in front of them.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, in a statement to the media, the vicar of Rome strongly condemned the scene and stressed that neither the parish priest nor the priest who celebrated the funeral were aware of what would happen outside after the Mass.<\/p>\n
