Nuku&#8217;alofa is covered with a thick layer of volcanic dust, but the condition is stable.  The main underwater communication cable is damaged.  &#8220;Telecommunications authorities are working to restore communication.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Locals say they are heartbroken by what is left behind, while thankfully no casualties are reported.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;This is the boat behind.
