Demonstrators, who authorities say could number as many as 50,000, marched through Brussels before gathering in Cinquantenaire Park in the city&#8217;s European neighborhood to express their opposition to the pandemic-related government policies.<\/p>\n<p>The European Union offices themselves fell prey to their attacks.  EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borell posted a photo showing the damage to his office.  Demonstrators chanted &#8220;Freedom!&#8221;  as they marched against the blockages.  The footage showed black-clad demonstrators attacking and breaking with solid objects the windows of a building used by the EU diplomatic service.<\/p>\n<p>Similar protests took place in Barcelona and other European cities.
