The police operation codenamed “Kral” is finalized, for hitting people who circulate with firearms or keep them in the apartment without permission.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Operation conducted by the Elbasan Police Commissariat in cooperation with the Elbasan Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office.<\/p>\n
A Kalashnikov firearm, a sport rifle with binoculars, ammunition and other illegal items were seized.<\/p>\n
A 44-year-old man is handcuffed.<\/p>\n
Pursuant to the plan of measures for the control of persons carrying illegal weapons, based on the information provided on the operational road and the pursuit with proactive methods, the police operation codenamed “Kral” was organized and finalized, within which the arrest was made in flagrance of the citizen:<\/p>\n
-GD, 44 years old, resident in the neighborhood “Visarion Xhuvani” Elbasan.<\/p>\n
During the search of the 44-year-old’s apartment, the Police Services found and seized a Kalashnikov firearm, a sport rifle with binoculars, about 500 rounds of ammunition for a pistol, a Kalashnikov and a machine gun, a punch amplifier, a knife and 7 cartridges.<\/p>\n
The above evidence was sent to the Scientific Police Institute in Tirana to be examined if it was used in other criminal events.<\/p>\n
Work is also ongoing for further legal documentation of this event and the criminal activity of this citizen if he is implicated in criminal events that occurred before.<\/p>\n
The materials were forwarded for further investigative actions to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Elbasan Judicial District for the criminal offenses “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition” and “Unauthorized production, possession, purchase or sale of cold steel.”<\/p>\n
