As the eyes of the world are on Beijing for the extravagant opening of the 2022 Olympics, critics accuse China of trying to “beautify” the disturbing image of total control, torture and executions exercised in the country against every element of dissidence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The British daily The Sun writes that hidden from the general appearance of the Olympics, are horrific human rights abuses committed all the time by the regime.<\/p>\n

Human rights organizations insist that the Chinese authorities should not be allowed to use the Olympics as an opportunity to “wash away” their tarnished reputation.<\/p>\n

As in the 2008 Games, ‘The Sun’ writes that China has created a “brilliant” external image in order to “wipe under the carpet” the horrific precedents of pre-determined trials, executions, some of the most horrific tortures , or in some cases genocide.<\/p>\n

Amnesty International has condemned China for “flushing” the image in order to divert attention from the regime’s horrific human rights record.<\/p>\n

Alkan Akad, head of Amnesty International for China, told The Sun Online: “The Chinese government is trying to capitalize on the splendor and public interest in sports, to cover the humane precedents of human rights.”<\/p>\n

The expert adds that China seeks to advertise status as a superpower, but human rights in the country are worse than in 2008.<\/p>\n

In the 100 years since its inception, the Communist Party of China has led a murderous regime believed to be the world’s largest executor of the people.<\/p>\n

“Thousands of people disappear every year into the bloody hands of the authorities with firing squads, fatal injections or mobile death vehicles.”<\/p>\n

The actual number killed by the Communist Party is believed to be very high but the regime calls the figures state secrets.<\/p>\n

Horror stories have often come from China’s “black prisons” since the presidency Xi Jinping<\/a>with reports of citizens abducted from the street and put in cells.<\/p>\n

In ‘black prisons’ people are cut off from all contact with the outside world and interrogated incessantly for six months receiving any kind of forced admission, threats or torture.<\/p>\n

Human rights activist Peter Dahlin <\/a> tells The Sun he was imprisoned in a two-guard anti-suicide cell that kept him company every second for 23 days after 20 police officers raided his Beijing apartment in the middle of the night.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old British man was not allowed to sleep or contact the embassy while being interrogated for six to 12 hours without interruption.<\/p>\n

Other reports speak of the imprisonment of hundreds of thousands of Uighur Muslim minorities, and others who have been placed in “state re-education camps” that are no different from concentration camps.<\/p>\n

The Sun writes <\/a>that Uighur women have been sterilized, tortured and abused in institutions of suffering.<\/p>\n

The victims say they were tortured with methods designed to cause maximum pain and shame.<\/p>\n
