Their commander is Major General Christopher Donahue, who was the last U.S. soldier to leave Afghanistan on August 30th.<\/p>\n<p>President Biden has ordered additional US troops to be deployed in Poland, Romania and Germany to show US allies and adversaries Washington&#8217;s commitment to NATO&#8217;s eastern flank amid rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>The division can deploy rapidly within 18 hours and carry out parachute attacks to take control of key targets.
