Israeli mobile phone maker Nokia has said there has been a 200 percent increase in sales of old-fashioned phones over the past week, as Israelis do not want to eavesdrop on sophisticated mobile phones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This mobilization came after they were informed that the police were monitoring a large number of citizens.  Simple cell phones or those that are not part of what is called smartphones, have limited internet access and applications like WhatsApp, Telegram, a fact that makes them more secure from eavesdropping.<\/p>\n<p>Cell phones of senior officials, activists, journalists, as well as family members and advisers to former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were also monitored by police.
