Cyber \u200b\u200battack on Ukrainian banks, also falls the site of the Ministry of Defense"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"firstP\">\n<p>Ukrainian security experts report that some of the country&#8217;s banks have fallen prey to a cyber attack.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>PrivatBank and Oschadbank were affected by the attack, and the website of the country&#8217;s Ministry of Defense was also reportedly down.<\/p>\n<p>The attack comes amid fears that a Russian cyber attack could precede a possible invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>The websites for Oschadbank and the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense did not work when The Mirror tried to access them this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security of Ukraine, known as the Stratcom Center, confirmed that the PrivatBank application does not work for some users.<\/p>\n<p>Stratcom wrote on Facebook:<em> During the last hours &#8220;PrivatBank&#8221; is under a massive DdoS attack.  Privat24 users report problems with payments and the operation of the application in general.  Some users are completely unable to access Privat24, others do not reflect the balance and recent transactions.  There is no threat to investor funds.  Cyberattack connects exclusively with the Privat24 application.  The rest of the financial transactions are carried out normally.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In &#8216;Oschadbank&#8217; there are also problems, internet banking does not work.
